In the right spaces with the right applications, these fabrics could be really incredible and be such a great detail.

Back to sharing more lovely photos with you from the Market. I have been loving all of the gray distressed patinas and/or chalk finishes the wood has been treated with. It is a finish that creates such mood. I threw in some additional grays through silvers….glass and metal. Perfect for casual mood or sophisticated and complex designs alike. Which do you prefer?

After visiting the High Point Furniture and Accessory Market, I wanted to continue to share with you all of the trends and hot designer pieces you will be seeing. Here are more of the birds for you to see. Amazing how many different places they showed up.
Three on the wall is worth...a great room!
The base of a darling lamp.

Just "plain" perched.
The front of a cabinet. So darling for a child's room, the perfect entry or a delicious garden room.

These are a few of my favorite sofas. What else can I say? Look at them! They each have wonderful curves and lines that would be perfect in the right space. Their proportions are so handsome and their style is striking. I have seen all of these in person, of course, in their showrooms at the High Point Furniture and Accessory Market in High Point, North Carolina and wanted to share them with you.
It is always such a pleasure, too, to meet the designers of these great lines. We always enjoy discussing our mutual passions: great design. With so many beautiful options in furnishings created by such talented people, it seems a shame to ever settle for less. Wouldn’t you just love to melt into one of these sofas in your home or look at their beauty while share cocktails with friends? I would love a Cosmo right now on one of these in an amazing fabric (that looks great with what I am wearing, right, ha!) Enjoy!

I cannot believe another High Point Furniture and Accessory Market has come and gone.
This enormous, biannual international market is brimming with the latest and greatest from designers and companies around the world. It is what a runway show is for fashion, only it is for home fashion…and we do all the walking.
The latest furnishings, casegoods, fabrics, accessories, lighting, artwork, rugs, details and ideas, etc. are there on display to sell to the trade. It is eye candy like you have never seen and takes up building after building from their ground to top floors, for blocks and blocks.
I just adore going.
Here are a few things I thought you might enjoy seeing. While this is a tiny, tiny amount, it is fun to see what will slowly trickle down to the shelter magazines such as Traditional Home, Elle Decor and Architectural Digest, in the next year or so. I just snap quick shots with my little camera each time so you can imagine how amazing they are in person…
